Top Tech Skills and Employers
Top Tech Skills
When it comes to in-demand skills, manufacturers want tech professionals who have mastered automation, SQL (which is essential for database work) and information technology. This hints at where manufacturing as an industry will progress in coming years: automation on the factory floor, increasingly sophisticated (and data-dependent) analytics in the back office.
A need for project management, business requirements and mastery of business processes are also driving many manufacturing companies’ hiring. Tech professionals with knowledge of applications and products from SAP are valuable, since many manufacturers rely on the software company’s products to keep track of manufacturing workflows, automation and more.
